Police takes away CCTV monitor from Abhishek Banerjee's Shantiniketan following security reduction

A team from the Kolkata Police arrived at Abhishek Banerjee's Harish Mukherjee Road residence, 'Santiniketan', on Monday afternoon, sparking significant curiosity. Officers arrived in a black car and entered the premises during a period of heightened political sensitivity. The surprise visit initially caused a commotion among onlookers and local media, given the ongoing controversies surrounding the area.

After spending some time inside the house, the officers were seen exiting the building carrying a CCTV monitor. This movement confirmed that the visit was not related to a new investigation, but rather a logistical withdrawal of official equipment. The officers departed shortly after retrieving the gear, which had been stationed at the residence for an extended period.

According to official reports, the monitor was part of the specialized CCTV surveillance system used to manage Abhishek Banerjee's security detail. This equipment was originally installed by the Kolkata Police to assist with his Z+ security cover.
