According to sources from the airport authority, Indigo Airlines will operate the new route for an initial three-day period, with flights departing from Jaipur and stopping at Patna before arriving at Andal. After a 30-minute break, the return journey will stop at Patna before heading back to Jaipur. The flight from Jaipur to Andal will take approximately 3.5 hours, with a 30-minute stopover in Patna, while the flight from Durgapur to Jaipur will take 3 hours and 50 minutes, also with a 30-minute stopover in Patna.

The service is scheduled to begin on May 30th, with the first flight departing from Jaipur at 12:00 pm. After arriving in Patna at 1:40 pm, the plane will take a 30-minute break before departing for Andal at 2:15 pm and arriving at 3:30 pm. The return journey will commence at 4:40 pm, with the flight arriving in Patna at 5:25 pm before departing for Jaipur at 5:55 pm and arriving at 7:00 pm.

Initially, the flights will operate on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, with the possibility of expanding to daily flights depending on passenger demand. The new route will benefit residents of West Bardhaman, East Bardhaman, Baankoda, Purulia, and Birbhum, and is expected to reduce pressure on the Kolkata airport.
